Hawthorn's Jack Fitzpatrick and Melbourne's Angus Brayshaw have both avoided major damage after suffering knee injuries during round two of the NAB Challenge on the weekend.
Brayshaw was forced off with a knee injury in the opening seconds of Melbourne's clash with Port Adelaide.
He has been cleared of any major knee damage, with the early diagnoses a minor medial ligament strain, meaning he will miss two to four weeks.
However, he will miss the remainder of the NAB Challenge and is in some doubt for Round 1.
Meanwhile, Hawthorn recruit Jack Fitzpatrick has avoided any structural damage after appearing to hyper extend his knee on Saturday against Richmond.
“There was no structural damage, which is a good thing, and Jack will be able to play again when the bruising settles down," football manager Chris Fagan told the club’s website.
“We don’t know how long that will be – it depends how well it settles.”
