5. Eddie Betts
"He had a good career at Carlton, nine seasons, 184 games and 290 goals but the Blues allowed him to go to Carlton for an extra $40,000 a season with all of their extra money going towards getting Dale Thomas. No disrespect to Dale, heโs had a pretty good careerโฆ But they would look back now and thereโs no way they wouldnโt pay him that extra money," Connolly said.
