"He had a good career at Carlton, nine seasons, 184 games and 290 goals but the Blues allowed him to go to Carlton for an extra $40,000 a season with all of their extra money going towards getting Dale Thomas. No disrespect to Dale, heโ€™s had a pretty good careerโ€ฆ But they would look back now and thereโ€™s no way they wouldnโ€™t pay him that extra money," Connolly said.
