Collingwood remain optimistic that gun forward Jamie Elliott will remain at the club despite interest from rivals.

The injury-prone 27-year old is an unrestricted free agent, with interest from Melbourne and Brisbane who are both reportedly offering three-year deals.

However, Elliott told Melbourne on Monday morning he wouldn't be accepting their offer, leaving the race down to two sides.

He was spotted touring the Lions' facilities over the weekend.

Pies list manager Ned Guy Guy confirmed that the club were only offering a two-year contract, but was confident that he will re-sign.

"We're waiting. We're very hopeful and growing a little bit more confident, but until we get the green light we have to wait and see," he told AFL Media.

Guy said that the Pies have not increased the financial element or length of their offer to Elliott.

"Not at all. We'd like to keep Jamie. Jamie's given plenty back to the club as well so hopefully we can continue that relationship," he said.

Elliott missed the entire the 2018 campaign due to hamstring injuries but returned to play 16 games this season, booting 26 goals.

He was in particularly good form at the end of the end of the season, kicking 11 goals in his final four games.
