Geelong is set to part company with Quinton Narkle after six seasons, with the 24-year-old not offered a new deal by the premiers.

Having commenced life as a Cat after being plucked with the 60th pick of the 2016 National Draft, Narkle ran out in a hooped guernsey on 41 occasions after making his debut late in 2018.

But as Narkle was largely seen as a fringe option by head coach Chris Scott, the Western Australian only managed eight appearances during the 2022 season, spending the vast majority of the year in the VFL.

As reported by Josh Gabelich of AFL Media, Narkle was told that his future no longer lay at the Cattery after meeting with club officials for his exit meeting on Tuesday.

Narkle's skillset is said to have, once again, attracted the interest of rival suitors, only this time around, a trade will not require cutting, given the midfielder's delisted free agency status.

Last season, Narkle's manager, Ralph Carr, spruiked that as many as five clubs were keen on the 24-year-old before he placed pen to paper on a one-year extension with the Cats.

The Perth Demons product has not laced the boots at AFL level since Round 17, an outing in which Narkle failed to see any action, spending the entirety of the fixture on the bench as the medical sub.
