Carlton forward Harry McKay is no certainty to suit up for this week's trip to face West Coast in Perth, with the Coleman Medal winner needing to get through training to play.
McKay was a late withdrawal from Michael Voss' squad for Sunday's win over Essendon due to knee soreness, with the issue seeing him miss his fifth game for the year already.
Concussion and personal matters have impacted McKay's 2025 campaign, with his current knee injury potentially seeing him miss multiple matches.
The Blues will assess the 27-year-old at training this week before a call is made on his playing prospects.
"We'll assess that during the week," Voss said after the win over the Bombers.
"He'll get into training on Tuesday, so we'll assess that over the course of the week."
Carlton came away from the Round 13 victory with no injury concerns, with midfielder Adam Cerra dealing with no ailments from his collision with Essendon's Sam Durham.
The Blues earned a boost from a host of returning names for their King's Birthday Eve match, having had Alex Cincotta, Jack Silvagni, Orazio Fantasia and Zac Williams all return from injury for the game.
Their fifth inclusion came in the form of debutant Hudson O'Keeffe, who was named in McKay's place as a key position asset who can sit forward and pinch-hit in the ruck.
O'Keeffe had a strong opening performance, recording a game-high five contested marks to go with seven disposals, four tackles and eight hitouts.
Speaking on the first gamer, Voss said he has been left impressed by the rise of O'Keffe over the past couple of months.
"Six weeks ago, I didn't think he was AFL ready," the Blues coach said.
"We're always constantly looking at our list. He's had some really important conversations and he's gone to work on his game, particularly in the last six weeks, more forward of the ball than the ruck.
"Credit to him and our development coaches, he's spent the time to be able to work on the nuances of his forward craft and his marking.
"Slowly, over the course of the bigger picture for us, is continuing to build this depth of our list. It comes down to the exposure of some of our younger players.
"Form wise, we stacked up tonight, which is a credit to him."
Carlton will head to Western Australia this weekend to face the Eagles at Optus Stadium before a Round 15 clash with North Melbourne back at the MCG.
