Sydney co-captain Dane Rampe has been handed two fines for separate incidents in his side’s win over Essendon on Friday night.

Rampe has been hit with a $10,000 fine for making comments towards umpire Jacob Mollison, while being handed a $1000 sanction for climbing the goalpost.

$5000 of Rampe’s $10k fine for umpire abuse will be suspended for the length of his career, while his $1k fine has also been suspended.

Rampe has been fined for a comment directed at Mollison, in which he said the umpire “talks like a little girl.”

Rampe apologised for both incidents on Monday.
