Essendon skipper Dyson Heppell is in doubt to face his side's clash with Melbourne on Sunday, reports SEN's Sam Edmund.
The midfielder has reportedly suffered an ankle injury and has been sighted walking with crutches and wearing a moon boot.
โHe got his left ankle caught up in a teammate in a tackle,โ he said onย SENโs Dwayneโs World.
โMy understanding is that thereโs a broken bone in there thatโs going to keep him out for several weeks.
โShocking luck for the skipper who only just got himself back into the side after all those off-season dramas (with his foot).
โThis is not foot-related, itโs an ankle and a break in there of some kind.โ

Heppell was plagued by foot injuries in the second half the 2019 season and underwent surgery in the off-season.
He missed Round 1 while he was rehabbing the injury.
