Essendon coach John Worsfold says the Bombers are chasing at least one more key position top-up player.

Ex-Brisbane tall Sam Michael appears the most likely to join the Bombers, with the 22-year-old currently training with the club.

He was also a top-up player for Essenbdon in last year's NAB Challenge.

"We are happy with what we've got, but we are still looking," Worsfold said at training on Friday.

"We've still got two spots potentially left that we can fill and we're still exploring what's available.

"One more key position player gives us a bit more flexibility...so that's why it's important we add one more key position player."

Essenodn have so far signed former Geelong tall Mitch Brown and former Hawthorn big man Sam Grimley to add to their key position stocks.
