Carlton president Mark LoGiudice will stand down at season's end, the club has confirmed.

Channel 7's Tom Browne first reported that the Blues top man will relinquish the role and hand it over to Luke Sayers.

LoGiudice has been at Carlton since 2014 when he took over from Stephen Kernahan and has helped lead the club back to powerhouse club off-field.

He recently found himself in the middle of a heated feud between Carlton CEO Cain Liddle and list manager Stephen Silvagni.

LoGiudice wrote to Carlton members on Wednesday morning to say thank-you and welcome in Sayers.

"I am writing to inform you that after 12 years on the Board of the Carlton Football Club and eight of those years as President, my tenure will conclude at the end of 2021," he wrote.

"It is with great pleasure that I can now announce that the Board has unanimously elected Luke Sayers as President-Elect, which was determined at a Board meeting on Monday night.

"In 2019, Sayers was made a Member of the Order of Australia for his significant service to business, to people with a disability, and to the community.

"My priority now remains to ensure a smooth transition during this period."

LoGiudice said he was committed to ensuring the re-development of Ikon Park masterplan was released before his tenure ended and that he wanted to ensure the club had everything it needed to succeed on-field by the time his reign is over.

"The third (task) is to complete the Masterplan for Ikon Park, which I look forward to sharing with members more information in the coming weeks.

"In addition to these tasks, I will continue to ensure our coaches and our entire Football Department have all the support needed to improve our on-field performance."

Zero Hanger reached out to Carlton for comment with the club saying that LoGiudice had served his full time allowed at the club.

"Mark will conclude his tenure at the end of the year. Board members have to rotate after 12-years, this being his 12th."

Sayers has been a director at Carlton since 2012 and has a strong business portfolio, being the Executive Chairman of Sayers, a Melbourne-based investment and advisory company.
