Ahead of this weekend's Multicultural Round in the AFL, the AFL Players' Association have released the 2017 map of where each international player hails from.

In total, 134 AFL and AFLW players feature on the map, with players listed in green being born overseas, while players listed in red have at least one parent both in another country.

Therefore, some players have featured twice.

48 players have English backrounds, with Brisbane's Sabrina Frederick-Traub and Sydney's Brandon Jack the only two players born in England.

New Zealand have 26 representatives this season, while 16 players are of Irish heritage, although 13 of them are born in Ireland.

Of other player who were born overseas, Richmond Oleg Markov was born in Belarus, GWS defender Aidan Corr in Northern Ireland, Sydney's Allir Allir in Kenya, and Port Adelaide's Emmanuel Irra in Uganda.

In total, 38 countries are represented on the map.
