Explosive Western Australian talent Jayke Taylor has spearheaded Western Australia to the Under-16s Development Championships title.

Needing to beat Vic Country to stay undefeated and claim the triumph, the Black Swans won 8.15 (63) to 4.10 (34) against Vic Country.

Taylor helped get Western Australia off to a strong start, kicking their second goal, and worked hard all game, providing a point-of-difference with his power.

Taylor finished with 3.3 and 13 marks among his 22 disposals.

He was also enormous earlier in the week but could not finish his work, kicking six behinds, after a 12-disposal, two-goal showing in Game 1 last month.

Troy Warner, the brother of Sydney pair Chad and Corey, finished a fine carnival with 22 disposals as a forceful and powerful midfielder.

West Coast father-son prospect Eli Wirrapanda also showed his class. An undersized East Perth utility, he showed his ability to cut through traffic as he finished with 16 disposals.

Meanwhile, Harry Lindsay, the younger brother of West Coast 2025 first round pick Josh, was one of Vic Country's best-performed players.

Like Josh, he is a chiselling ball user and showed aggression in an 18-disposal effort.

Midfielders Hudson Brown and Daniel May were also impressive in the win

A midfielder-forward in the vein of Collingwood's Jordan De Goey, Taylor kicked 3.3 and took 13 marks in a 22 disposal effort

Earlier, South Australia's Fergus Vogt made a statement with a four-goal first half in the Crow Eaters' commanding victory over Vic Metro.

Halftime went for close to an hour, with the game delayed due to nearby lightning.

Harrison Schubert, the brother of Hawthorn's Aidan, kicked 2.1, while skipper Zane Rooney had moments of class and toughness.

Lively Adelaide Next Generation Academy forward Levi Dudley, the brother of Fremantle's Isaiah, showed off his speed with 10 disposals and a goal.

For Vic Metro, Freddie Hardman worked tirelessly in the midfield and Noevn Eshwara was damaging by foot despite having just 11 disposals. Louis Grinter was another to catch the eye with 17 disposals and five clearances.

Carlton father-son pair Wil Thornton and Lukas Koutoufides had 13 and 11 disposals, respectively.
