The younger brother of a Sydney duo led Western Australia to a commanding win at the Under-16s Development Championships on Tuesday.
Troy Warner, the brother of Sydney pair and Corey, finished with 27 disposals, six marks and eight inside 50s. He showed plenty of tricks, running through the midfield and proving a front-half threat with his creative kicking.
He was particularly prominent in the last quarter, ensuring Western Australia built on a slender lead as poor forward polish kept the opponents in the contest.
Anointed co-captain of the squad, Warner has led them to back-to-back victories and was among the best with 25 disposals in last month's win over South Australia.
Western Australia was wildly inaccurate throughout the afternoon, kicking 8.23 (71) to Vic Metro's 6.8 (44) but Warner continued to send the ball inside 50 to dangerous territory, working hard in a complete four quarter performance.
Warner represented Western Australia as a bottom-ager at last year's Under-16s Development Championships as a small forward but has since grown in both stature and confidence.
His spatial awareness allowed him to dart in and out of traffic and maximise his impact with ball in hand.

Industry insiders view Warner as more advanced than both his brothers at the same age.
Chad was selected with Pick 39 in the 2019 AFL Draft, while Corey Warner was taken at Pick 40 two years later.
Jayke Taylor was another standout for Western Australia as an imperious forward presence but finished with six behinds.
For Vic Metro, midfielder Freddie Hardman and defender Mac Hammerstein were the standouts.
Carlton father-son prospect Will Thornton was had some moments with 21 possessions after being Vic Metro's leading ball-getter in their first game.
Fellow Blues-tied prospect Lukas Koutoufides had six disposals - all kicks.
