Adelaide is set to secure promising draft talent Max Michalanney as a father-son selection at next month's National Draft after the club confirmed the teenager's nomination on Friday afternoon.
Michalanney is a potential first-round draft selection among this year's crop and firms as one of the most versatile taller options on offer.
While the Norwood youngster would be of great interest to several AFL clubs given his ability to play as a threat at either end of the ground, the 190cm swingman will join Adelaide as a father-son.
Michalanney's father Jim played 211 games for Norwood and was a four-time premiership player with the Redlegs and is aligned to the Crows under SANFL father-son rulings.

Also a member of Adelaide's Next Generation Academy, Michalanney is set to become Adelaide's third-ever father-son selection after previously seeing Ben Jarman (son of Darren) and Jackson Edwards (son of Tyson) recruited through the 2016 and 2017 Rookie Drafts respectively.
Michalanney played three games for Norwood's senior side in 2022, averaging 4.7 disposals, 3.7 tackles, 1.3 rebounds 50s with a disposal efficiency percentage of 79 per cent.
