Adelaide midfielder Harry Schoenberg has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Crows, tying his footballing future to West Lakes until at least the end of the 2025 season.

The Crows' Pick 24 in 2019, Schoenberg has struggled to retain a consistent spot in coach Matthew Nicks' strong 2023 side, however, he has evidently inspired enough confidence in Adelaide's list management department to earn a new deal beyond 2023.

Schoenberg expressed joy at re-signing and continuing on his AFL journey with his hometown Crows.

"I'm enjoying where we're going as a footy club and being an Adelaide boy I couldn't be happier to be staying on board," Schoenberg said in a club statement.

"I've made some strong bonds with my teammates and I really enjoy working with the coaching group so I'm excited that's going to continue."

Crows list boss Justin Reid praised Schoenberg's footballing talent, noting the promising future he has at Adelaide.

"Harry certainly has some great attributes which add another dimension to our midfield," Reid said.

"He has the ability to win clearance and with his mix of speed and power is able to break away from stoppage which he has showcased at AFL level.

"He is a strong prospect for the future and we are excited he is continuing on the journey with us."

Schoenberg joins midfielders Chayce Jones and Jake Soligo in re-committing to Adelaide in recent times, as the club continues on its positive upward trajectory.

The Crows are preparing for an important litmus test against the in-form Magpies at the MCG this Sunday afternoon.
