Western Bulldogs skipper Marcus Bontempelli has been named captain of the 22Under22 Team of the Decade.
Bontempelli has been voted into five 22under22 teams since he was eligible, being selected as captain for three of those teams.
Bontempelli, a 2016 premiership player, has been selected for All-Australian honours four times and has won four club best and fairest medals.
Fremantle vice-captain Andrew Brayshaw and Brisbane co-captain Harris Andrews have been named vice-captains for the side.
With 143 players eligible for the team, the AFLPA opened voting across the AFL in February for the Team of the Decade to celebrate ten years of the 22under22 team.
Bontempelli is the only Western Bulldogs player in the team, whilst Melbourne has four players in the team, although Brodie Grundy and Steven May started their careers at Collingwood and Gold Coast respectively.
Nick Daicos has been selected across half-back after a standout 2022 debut season, winning the NAB AFL Rising Star Award.
Six West Coast Eagles players were all nominated for the Team of the Decade, however were not voted in by fans to the best 22.
