Rival clubs will closely monitor out-of-favour Docker Connor Blakely for the rest of the season, according to The Herald Sun.

Blakely is yet to make a senior appearance this season after playing 14 games in 2019.

The 24-year old's omission from the Fremantle side has reportedly "staggered a handful of possible suitors."

Blakely, a Western Australian native, was drafted out of Swan Districts.

The midfielder signed a three-year extension with the club last July, tying him to the club until at least the end of the 2022 season.

He has been named in the extended squad for this weekend's Western Derby.

Fremantle are coming off consecutive wins over Adelaide and St Kilda.
