Richmond midfielder Brandon Ellis has now been linked to Essendon, as he continues to look for a club for 2020 and beyond.

The Tigers and Ellis look set to part ways at the end of the season, with Richmond reluctant to pay Ellis' asking price.

The free agent has long been linked with the Suns, who have reportedly put a long-term deal on the table for the premiership Tiger.

According to SEN Breakfast, the Bombers are making a play for the 26-year-old.

“Now Essendon has come calling for the Richmond player," Edmund told SEN Breakfast.

"Gold Coast have verbally tabled a four or five year deal to get him there up north, we know Carlton has pulled out.”

Ellis has played 174 games for the Tigers in his eight years with the club.
