Are leadership groups overrated? Malcolm Blight thinks so.

The AFL great went so far to say leadership groups are "the most overrated thing in football'.

Speaking on SEN’s Whateley, the dual premiership coach condemned the idea of teammates looking down to others.

“My pet hate is players sitting in judgement of players,” Blight told SEN’s Whateley.

“Leadership groups are the most overrated thing in football, always have and always will be.

“What are the coaches there for and what is the administration there for?

“And players think it’s a nice thing to do. I wouldn’t have done it. Sitting judgment on teammates of mine and your peer group, I just think it’s not right.”
