Melbourne ruckman Braydon Preuss has decided to depart the Demons despite being contracted with the club until the end of the 2022 season.
According to SEN's Sam Edmund, Preuss will leave Melbourne as plenty of rival clubs show interest in the 25-year-old.
Preuss has played just the 10 games across his last two seasons after joining the Demons from North Melbourne during the 2018 trade period.
“Braydon Preuss, a lot of interest in him. He has decided to leave Melbourne,” Edmund told SEN’s Dwayne’s World.
“It hasn’t worked out in the sense that he hasn’t played as much as he would have liked and the two-ruck set up hasn’t transpired. He has also been injured for a bit of it all as well.
“He has loved it there at Melbourne to the point where up until two weeks ago, Braydon Preuss was keen to stay in the red and blue.
“But he’s seen Marc Pittonet become a No.1 ruckman (at Carlton) and others around the league and he senses a real opportunity.
“Braydon Preuss will definitely leave Melbourne.”
The Giants are one of several clubs believed to be interested in the departing Demon, with Edmund also reporting that GWS will look to retain their veteran ruckman Shane Mumford for the 2021 season.
“GWS are in the mix but there’s a few interested parties there, even if the Giants seem the logical suitor," he said.
