The AFL website have begun their top 50 player countdown heading into the 2018 season, and following on from the beginning of the count last Wednesday, have now released numbers 15-11 of the Players’ Annual top 50.

A pair of star key forwards feature in this section, with Josh Kennedy and Tom Lynch each moving up one spot from last year's edition while one star has fallen a massive 10 spots as Marcus Bontempelli failed to back up a stellar, premiership-winning 2016 season despite glimpses of his capabilities.

Port's Robbie Gray put his match-winning abilities on show in 2017 to bump his name up on the last, ranking first in the competition for score assists while booting 47 of his own while the Pies veteran skipper Scott Pendlebury's class and poise was on show for all to see once again, despite a nasty finger injury slowing him down in the latter stages of the season.
