For the first time in 2026, we will award a trophy to the player we adjudge to be the best from the season.
Winning Edge Presentations is backing the award and we will present a trophy to the winner following the home and away season.
Zero Digital's Aidan Cellini, Jonty Ralphsmith, Harrison McIlwaine and Mitch Keating will each give their 5-4-3-2-1 on every game of the Home and Away season, with 20 votes the maximum number a player can receive in any round.
The player who receives the most votes will take out the Zero Hanger MVP, powered by Winning Edge Presentations, award.
Last year, Nick Daicos received the most votes with 231, polling in 18 of his 23 games, to take out the award by 17 votes, ahead of Geelong's Bailey Smith and Brownlow Medallist Matt Rowell.
Patrick Cripps won it in 2022 and 2024, while Marcus Bontempelli took it out in 2023 and Ollie Wines won it in his 2021 Brownlow Medal-winning campaign.
In Opening Round, Justin McInerney, Christian Petracca, Nick Daicos and Ed Richards all received the maximum votes, so sit atop the leaderboard after five games.
