The AFL trade and free agency windows are just weeks away, with the clubs already out of the finals frame lifting their pursuit of rival players, while those still in contention will have one eye on their list moves.
Clubs have been putting in the work off the field since the early weeks of the season, perhaps even before a ball was bounced. And while some big names have come off the market, plenty still face an uncertain future.

After a decade of often relying on the draft to secure top-rated talent, the tide looks to have shifted in the Suns' favour from a trade and free agency perspective since Damien Hardwick made the move north. In 2025, Coleman Medal winner Charlie Curnow is said to have his sights on a move to Carrara, while the Suns have also been linked to Pies pair Beau McCreery and Jamie Elliott.
