Injury has further derailed West Coast midfielder Tim Kelly's 2025 campaign, with a toe issue ruling the veteran ball winner out of Sunday's clash with Hawthorn.
Kelly, who had been dealing with the ailment for "several weeks", had his toe stepped on at training on Tuesday, with the concern since limiting the 30-year-old's preparation for round 7.
The Eagles were forced to rule Kelly out of their trip to Melbourne, with the change coming a fortnight after the ex-Cat was dropped from Andrew McQualter's side for Gather Round.
"West Coast has lost star midfielder Tim Kelly to a toe complaint which he had been managing for several weeks," the club wrote on Thursday.
"Kelly's toe was also stood on at training on Tuesday and he could not be considered for selection."
Whether Kelly is available for Round 8 against Melbourne or not is yet to be confirmed.
Kelly is one of two confirmed outs for the Eagles, with key defender Harry Edwards (omitted) also making way for the Marvel Stadium match.
Captain Oscar Allen is a confirmed inclusion, with Tom Cole, Noah Long, Sandy Brock and Tyler Brockman the other potential additions.
West Coast have named Brockman, Long, Brock, Tyrell Dewar, Jack Williams, Elijah Hewett, Hamish Davis and Tom Gross on their extended interchange, which will be reduced to four bench players at 5:00pm (AEST) on Friday. Players not listed on the extended interchange can still be named as emergencies.
West Coast, who are chasing their first win of 2025, will face Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium at 4:45pm on Sunday.
