Richmond is likely to be without a pair of forwards in its Easter Saturday clash against Port Adelaide.
Second-year pair Harry Armstrong and Jasper Alger injured their hamstring and medial ligaments respectively in the Tigers' 70-point loss to Fremantle on Saturday.
Yze said second-year forward Jasper Alger had likely strained a medial ligament after an incident in the second quarter, while young goalkicker Harry Armstrong had suffered a foot injury that will need to be assessed.
"He's obviously going to be a huge part of our future ... hopefully it's on the minor end and it's just precautionary, so we'll find that out in the early part of the week," Yze said of Armstrong at the post-match press conference.
It's a disappointing setback for Alger, who kicked five goals in a scintillating display in Round 1 of the VFL season to earn his AFL call-up.
Meanwhile, Armstrong's likely absence continues a frustrating merry-go-round for the Tigers' key forwards to start 2026.
Tom Lynch is currently injured after two of the first three games of the year, Mykelti Lefau missed Opening Round and Jonty Faull missed Round 2.
The Richmond coach also offered his perspective on the Tigers' makeshift ruck situation, with Sean Darcy and Luke Jackson winning the hitouts 57-9 and helping Fremantle win clearances 41-26.
The club opted for Campbell Gray, who last week played as a key defender in the VFL after playing Opening Round as a secondary ruck, to shoulder much of the load with Toby Nankervis injured.
“The talent of their two rucks just gave them too much opportunity in the end but in saying that, it wasn't just pure clearance, we do have defenders behind the ball who can win the ball back so we defend the ground and expect to minimise stoppage loss as a team not just with our mids,” Yze said.
“We'll look at that and reassess what we're going to do next week.”
