St Kilda recruit Jack Silvagni feels for his former club Carlton.
The Blues have slumped to 1-4, with pressure mounting on senior coach Michael Voss.
Silvagni was one of four off-season recruits at Moorabbin, arriving from Carlton - a club synonymous with his family name - having followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather in wearing the navy blue.
But a fresh start has reaped rewards for the defender, who has enjoyed the change.
"I am really enjoying the change," Silvagni said on Channel Seven following the victory over Port Adelaide.
"I really feel for them. But I know that they're a tight group and they'll rally around eachother, they'll rally around Vossy."

"I have a lot of great mates at Carton who I speak to frequently there, and I feel for what they are going through at the moment. I have been through it a few times at the Blues, and it's not nice."
Saints coach Ross Lyon empathised with Silvagni, saying in his post-match address how it would have been difficult to leave the Blues.
"For Jack, he's come in and led, it's not easy changing clubs, where to be honest, your father is a hall of famer and premiership player, a best-and-fairest winner, and you are the third generation," Lyon said.
"I can't imagine that would have been easy, but he made that decision, and we have embraced him. He still has improvement in him, and that's the exciting bit. Our whole strategy isn't based on four weeks or five weeks."
A first goal in St Kilda colours was an emotional moment for the Silvagni family, reflected by Jack's parents in the crowd at Adelaide Oval.
"I have barely been able to hit my foot all year, so it was nice that it never looked like missing," Silvagni said.

"I tried to bait (Jason Horne Francis) on the handball, and it worked. I was a little bit nervous, but it was nice. I carried on.
"I came off groin surgery and got concussed in the first practice game on the Gold Coast, so I was coming off a limited prep, so I was trying to get minutes in, and AFL footy is hard. I hadn't played a game since May.
