Melbourne and North Melbourne are in the midst of a fiery encounter at the MCG this afternoon.

There have been several spot fires throughout the game, with in-form North star, Shaun Higgins in particular, receiving plenty of attention from Demons’ players trying to curb his impact on the game.

Higgins was the first player to perhaps step over the line, with a jumper punch on Clayton Oliver in the first term. Melbourne’s Christian Salem and North’s Ben Cunnington soon followed suit.

Salem elbowed Shaun Higgins and could be trouble, while Cunnington punched Bernie Vince in the stomach, which forced Vince off the ground for several minutes as he gasped for air.
