Former Geelong midfielder Ted Clohesy has gained interest from a handful of SANFL clubs and Tasmania's VFL program as he weighs up his next career move.
Clohesy, who is holding out hope for a career lifeline via this week's draft mechanisms, has met with multiple South Australian clubs and the Devils in recent days, Zero Hanger understands.
Glenelg, Woodville-West Torrens and Central District are leading the interest in the 12-gamer, who could also join the influx of ex-AFL names to venture to Tasmania's state league side for 2026.
The Devils have signed Geordie Payne, Hugh Dixon, Robbie Fox, Cameron Owen, Jye Menzie and Caleb Mitchell, among others, so far this off-season to form a promising foundation for their list build.
Grand finalists Glenelg have lost a host of key names since their 2025 campaign, with ex-AFL midfielder Jarryd Lyons deciding to retire from the level, while the Bays copped the mid-season losses of Harrison Ramm (Port Adelaide) and Oscar Adams (Gold Coast) to the top flight.
Central District have landed ex-GWS defender Josh Fahey as a headline signing alongside ex-Hawk Jack Saunders from Norwood, while Woodville-West Torrens is yet to confirm any additions for 2026.
Clohesy will wait until after this week's Rookie Draft before a call is made on his next move, with multiple AFL sides also linked to the 21-year-old.

The Geelong native played a dozen games for the Cats at AFL level across his three seasons at Kardinia Park as a product of the club's Next Generation Academy, making his debut against the Western Bulldogs in his maiden season and playing nine matches this year.
Clohesy averaged a team-high 27.8 disposals and 8.0 tackles in the VFL this year to consistently press his case for a senior recall as an inside midfielder in a long pecking order under Chris Scott, but did enjoy another strong year at the level after making the Team of the Year squad in 2024.
A second chance could eventuate via Friday's Rookie Draft or the Supplemental Selection Period, which opens on Monday, with West Coast, Gold Coast and Essendon all having shown some level of interest in the young midfielder since his Cats departure.
The Eagles have a range of experienced midfield options already set to land in Perth, but do have extra flexibility with rookie selections due to their AFL assistance package, while the Bombers and Suns are both bracing for a busy National Draft.
