The first half of the WAFL Season is complete and Round 10 saw results that may shape up the final five come September.

From East Perth's huge win over South Fremantle to Subiaco giving the reigning premiers a thumping at Leederville to East Fremantle getting their season back on track, Round 10 had it all.

Let's find out who stood up to the plate in Round 10.

EAST FREMANTLE VS SWAN DISTRICTS [91-67]

After two straight losses, East Fremantle needed to beat Swan Districts to keep their season on the straight & narrow and they did just that by 24 points at the W.A.C.A Ground.

A five-goal-to-one third quarter turned the game in the Sharks' favour and was led by the burley Dillon O'Reilly who booted a season-best 6 goals in a performance that could solve the problems the Sharks have up forward.

With Milan Murdock absent due to concussion, Hugh Dixon had to take added responsibility in midfield and he played his role brilliantly with 24 disposals, 15 hit-outs, 3 inside-50s and a goal in a starring role.

Harrison Marsh's presence on the ball didn't go unnoticed on Saturday he had 19 touches but also took the ball inside forward 50 8 times.

Swan Districts had their usual suspects in midfield keeping in touch all day with Aidan Clarke proving crucial in a close first half with 24 touches and 9 clearances while Jesse Turner had a quiet final term but was still amongst his team's best with 8 tackles and 7 inside-50s.

SUBIACO VS WEST PERTH [112-58]

West Perth's premiership defence took a real battering at the hands of a ruthless Subiaco by nine goals at Leederville Oval.

The Lions kicked six goals to one in the opening term and the Falcons never recovered, falling outside the five in the process.

It will be hard to go past Zac Clarke who is in irresistible form this season, on Saturday he amassed 45 hit-outs, 23 disposals, 12 marks, 4 inside-50s and a goal in another complete game.

Also starring was an in-form Liam Hickmott in midfield who also had 23 touches and 12 tackles in another impressive performance on the ball, supported by Stefan Giro [22 disposals, 5 marks] and the veteran Leigh Kitchin [21 disposals, 6 marks].

Subiaco's forward line was uncontainable with Ben Sokol leading the charge with another 5 goals, taking him to 34 for the season.

West Perth's only positive from the middle was the persistent Nathan Murray who never took his foot off the gas, he amassed 31 disposals, 8 marks and 4 inside-50s.

Up forward once again West Perth had only one main avenue to goal and it was Tyler Keitel who to his credit was brilliant with five goals straight.

PERTH VS PEEL THUNDER [69-88]

Peel Thunder's position in the top three remained intact after a 19-point victory over a competitive Perth at Lathlain Park.

A seven-goal to-five second half opened the game in Peel's favour after having a narrow lead at halftime and the Demons having got to within seven points midway through the last term.

Everyone was talking about Sebit Kuek after the game, his role up forward was to be the valuable tall timber up forward and he delivered, dobbing six goals straight from 12 kicks at full forward.

The Thunder backline was again vital with Jacob Blight and Josh Corbett each pulling in 8 marks in defensive 50 while from the middle Brady Grey was immense at the coalface amassing 22 disposals, 5 marks, 8 tackles and 6 inside-50s.

Once again Charlie Thompson was the Demons' best in midfield, amassing another 30 disposals, 3 marks and 10 tackles.

He and Jack Avery again continued their improvement as a midfield Tandem, Avery's 27 disposals and 12 marks were crucial in shutting down the usually high-tempo Peel ball movement.

SOUTH FREMANTLE VS EAST PERTH [59-82]

East Perth continues to rise up the ladder, going to Fremantle Oval and inflicting South Fremantle's 3rd defeat at home by 23 points.

The third quarter was the difference for East Perth, they broke away from the shackles with a five-goal-to-two quarter and held off every entry inside 50 by the Bulldogs.

East Perth's midfield was again hard to blanket down, led by Angus Schumacher who amassed a huge 38 disposals as well as 4 marks, 4 tackles while delivering the ball inside 50 9 times.

Angus Scott [34 disposals, 9 marks, 2 tackles], Nicholas Robertson [27 disposals, 12 marks] and Mitchell Crowden [26 disposals, 6 marks, 7 tackles] all played a huge role on the ball.

Sam Van Diemen is also proving to be the Royals' new goal-kicking weapon with 3 goals in only his 19th game.

South Fremantle had a heavy reliance on Jake Florenca in midfield he delivered with 28 disposals and 3 inside-50s but did get as much continual support as he would have liked.

Glenn Byron however held his own in the backline taking 6 marks and amassing 18 disposals in another classy showing. While up forward the Bulldogs had Manfred Kelly kick 2 goals but he was mostly quiet.
