It's been another massive week of trade news and speculation, with several stars of the game linked to moves and new deals.
We also look at some names that Hawthorn and Brisbane should have their eye on in the run-in to the player movement window.
Here's all the latest trade news and analysis from the past week...
New suitor emerges in bidding-war for Carlton defender
The Western Bulldogs have set their sights on Blues key defender Jack Silvagni, looking to poach the Carlton legacy name as he weighs up contract offers from both the Baggers and their rivals Collingwood.
According to The Age's Sam McClure, the Magpies have tabled an offer to Silvagni similar in length and monetary value to Carlton's contract, approximately $600,000 a season over four years, with club culture and a greater opportunity to win a premiership as a selling point.
Craig McRae also openly told media during the week that he had met with the out-of-contract player.
However, the Bulldogs are now in the hunt for the ever-improving Silvagni and are expected to have conversations with him about acquiring his services for 2026 and beyond.

Elite Collingwood pair up for grabs amid stalling negotiations

Two Magpies, Darcy Cameron and Brody Mihocek, are being heavily targeted by rival clubs as the pair remain without a contract extension to stay at AIA Centre long-term.
Cameron, who is in the midst of a career-best season, is contracted with Collingwood through the 2026 season but is looking to sign an extension beyond that this year. However, conversations between the parties have reportedly come to a "stalemate", providing the interested West Coast Eagles an opportunity to pounce and trade for Cameron in the upcoming off-season.
Similarly, Mihocek may have his head turned for a contract with more long-term security, having reportedly been offered just a one-year extension by the Pies. Melbourne and Sydney are two clubs who have looked into signing the uncontracted veteran.

There's a number of star talents linked to the Hawks so with the right approach, the Hawks could bolster their roster significantly for a premiership tilt in 2026.

Hawks ruckman being monitored by rivals

Since the Hawks officially locked in their number one rucking option Lloyd Meek until 2029 earlier this week, speculation has been whirring around the future of out-of-favour tall Ned Reeves.
Reeves has played just one game for Hawthorn at AFL level in 2025 and five total in the last two seasons, highlighting his need to find opportunity elsewhere with the emergence of Meek. Two clubs have reportedly been keen on acquiring his services for 2026 via a trade - Collingwood and Carlton.
Both clubs are expected to lack depth at the rucking positions in 2026, with the Blues likely to lose Tom De Koning to St Kilda and Collingwood's back-up ruck Mason Cox still without a contract extension beyond this season.

Brisbane's potential targets
The Lions are reportedly in the driver's seat to obtain the talents of both Oscar Allen and Sam Draper this year, with the pair of free agents eyeing a move up north.
However, with an aging back line and a transition between young and old clearly taking place, Brisbane have the opportunity to drastically shake up - and improve - the current core of their playing list this off-season.
We named the top five trade and free agency targets for Brisbane to consider this year.

North Melbourne considering chase for premiership defender
North Melbourne has begun "weighing" up a potential move for contracted Melbourne premiership player Jake Lever in a bid to bolster its leadership at Arden Street, according to Channel 9's Tom Morris.
The interest in Lever, who is tied to the Demons until the end of the 2028 season, comes amid an era of change at Melbourne - one that has seen him be shockingly dropped from AFL level earlier this season.
Lever would certainly elevate the Roos backline depth as well, currently averaging 3.4 spoils per game and 12.0 disposals at 91.7% efficiency.

Swans, Tigers to approach Suns forward

Gold Coast small forward Malcolm Rosas Jr could head south this off-season, as Richmond and Sydney have been revealed to have interest in the 24-year-old.
Rosas has lacked opportunity since Damien Hardwick arrived in 2024, featuring in just three AFL games this season, notably in both of the Suns' wins in Darwin.
His VFL form has impressed the two clubs averaging 20 disposals and a goal per game in his last seven matches, heightening their desire to land the young gun.

Giants set to lose two key talls
GWS are likely to have two significant departures from the club in the 2025 trade period, as Melbourne appear to be a lock to land out-of-favour swingman Wade Derksen.
Backline regular Leek Aleer is also tipped to move to Victoria after being offered a mega deal from St Kilda.
