Former three-club AFL defender Sam Frost has signed with VAFA outfit Collegians for the 2026 season.

Frost called time on his 14-year, 185-game top flight career last year, bringing an end to his six-year stint with Hawthorn.

The 32-year-old made his AFL debut with GWS in 2012 before seeking a move back to Victoria, signing with Melbourne after three years on the Giants' list.

Frost played 70 games in the red and blue before crossing to Hawthorn ahead of the 2020 campaign via a trade.

After a two-game 2025 campaign with the Hawks, Frost decided to hang up the boots.

He'll now return to donning Wesley College colours this year, signing with the Premier B club in his first move since exiting the AFL.

"Almost 15 years since leaving the College, I am excited to be back wearing the purple and gold," Frost said in a statement.

"I'm looking forward to returning to the Wesley community and being around the great people involved in the Collegians Football Club.

"I am hoping this group can add to the enormous history of success the club has had over many years."

Collegians managed six wins and 11 defeats in the Premier Division last year, falling narrowly short of retaining their place in the competition.

They joined De La Salle in having been relegated to Premier B, with Old Trinity and Caulfield Grammarians taking their place.
