After just two seasons, Nick Watson has established himself as one of the most dynamic small forwards in the competition. Lightning quick with elite skills, Watson has a rare ability to create something out of nothing inside the forward 50.

While his second season was interrupted by injury, Calsher Dear showed in his debut year why the Hawks were so bullish on the late draft selection. The young key forward produced a strong first campaign, highlighted by a three-goal performance in an elimination final.

Josh Weddle has emerged as the ultimate utility. His mobility for his size is elite, and he competes strongly overhead, while his speed and ball use allow him to impact games in a variety of roles.

Although he found himself out of the team at times in 2025, Cam Mackenzie is a brave and classy youngster whose versatility makes him a valuable asset through the midfield and across half-back.
