GWS have matched Geelong's bid for star free agent Jeremy Cameron and will now force a trade, with the Cats reportedly offering a $4.75 million contract.

The offer will see Cameron earn close to $900,000 per season on a five-year contract that includes incentives and a game-clause for a sixth year at Kardinia Park, triggering if the key forward plays at least 14 matches in his fifth year, per Fox Footy.

The Giants originally indicated they wouldn't be opting for compensation and will force a trade with the Cats, who hold three first-round selections in the 2020 draft.

According to SEN, the Giants informed Geelong that they will match the offer and request two first-round selections and a player.

The clubs will have until November 12 to strike a deal, with the Giants reportedly keen on Cats midfielder Brandan Parfitt, despite the 22-year-old nearing a contract extension with Geelong.
