Gillon McLachlan says next week's game in China is not at risk despite predicted high levels of pollution.

A sandstorm is currently causing extremely high and unhealthy levels of pollution through parts of northern China, including Shanghai.

However, McLachlan said on Monday the game is at no risk of being moved.

“We have a whole series of processes for every contingency,” McLachlan said.

“There are a lot of things you can’t control about our game. There’s always operational challenges wherever we play the game.

"There is nothing that I’m aware of that puts the game at risk. Our players and clubs are resilient if there is something but I don’t have anything that’s worrying me at the moment.

“I got a photo on the weekend of the pitch and it looks, maybe it’s not the MCG, but it’s pretty close. The pitch is in really good order. So everything’s pretty much in readiness for this weekend.”

The comments come after Suns coach Rodney Eade said on Sunday the club will not take any players to China who have respiratory problems or who suffer from asthma due to the pollution.

“We won’t take any players who have got asthma or have got respiratory problems," Eade said.

“So that’ll have to all be decided on Tuesday, so there may be some changes (from this week’s game).”

The Power take on the Suns at Jianhwan Sports Stadium at 3.15pm AEST on Sunday.
