Gillon McLachlan says next week's game in China is not at risk despite predicted high levels of pollution.

A sandstorm is currently causing extremely high and unhealthy levels of pollution through parts of northern China, including Shanghai.

However, McLachlan said on Monday the game is at no risk of being moved.

โ€œWe have a whole series of processes for every contingency,โ€ McLachlan said.

โ€œThere are a lot of things you canโ€™t control about our game. Thereโ€™s always operational challenges wherever we play the game.

"There is nothing that Iโ€™m aware of that puts the game at risk. Our players and clubs are resilient if there is something but I donโ€™t have anything thatโ€™s worrying me at the moment.

โ€œI got a photo on the weekend of the pitch and it looks, maybe itโ€™s not the MCG, but itโ€™s pretty close. The pitch is in really good order. So everythingโ€™s pretty much in readiness for this weekend.โ€

The comments come after Suns coach Rodney Eade said on Sunday the club will not take any players to China who have respiratory problems or who suffer from asthma due to the pollution.

โ€œWe wonโ€™t take any players who have got asthma or have got respiratory problems," Eade said.

โ€œSo thatโ€™ll have to all be decided on Tuesday, so there may be some changes (from this weekโ€™s game).โ€

The Power take on the Suns at Jianhwan Sports Stadium at 3.15pm AEST on Sunday.
