Following his recent delisting from the Port Adelaide Power, Jeremy Finlayson has signed on with the Myponga-Sellicks Football Club in South Australia's Great Southern Football League.
After an AFL career that spanned 128 games for a return of 166 goals across two clubs, the New South Welshman joins the Mudlarks in a coup for a club that finished outside of the top four in 2025 after breaking a 40-year premiership drought in 2024.
Finlayson was drafted by GWS with Pick 85 in the 2014 National Draft, booting 90 goals in 66 matches and featuring in the Giants' only grand final appearance in 2019. At the conclusion of the 2021 season, Finlayson defected to the Port Adelaide Football Club, where he booted 76 goals in 62 matches, but injury and form concerns ultimately ended his career at the top level.

Still just 29 years of age, Finlayson was part of a list cull that signalled the beginning of the Josh Carr era in earnest in late August.
Ryan Burton was also a part of said cull, with talks to revive his career at Carlton appearing to have stalled since first being reported in early October. There, a reunion with former Power people Michael Voss and Chris Davies would be on the cards.
Other former Power players to find new homes in regional leagues include Lachie Charleson (East Point), Dylan Williams (Surrey Park), Willie Rioli (Tiwi Bombers) and club legend and former captain Travis Boak (Torquay).
Rory Atkins has landed a player development role as part of a new look coaching panel at the Melbourne Demons after announcing his retirement at season's end. Atkins will also suit up for his junior club Maribyrnong in Melbourne's west next year.
