The Western Bulldogs have informed Declan Hamilton he will not be offered a contract for the 2018 season and beyond.

Hamilton was selected with the 39th pick in the 2014 AFL Draft, and spent the past three seasons at the club, although he failed to play a senior game.

The 21-year-old played 58 games for Footscray in the VFL, and was a member of the Dogs' 2016 VFL premiership side.

“It's a credit to Declan how he handled the transition from South Australia at the end of 2014,” Western Bulldogs List Manager Jason McCartney told westernbulldogs.com.au.

“We’d like to thank Declan for his service to the Club, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

Hamilton joins fellow young Dog Josh Prudden in being delisted this off-season.
