Brisbane is reportedly set to delist Deven Robertson, which could allow West Coast to give up nothing to lure him across the country.
Robertson has expressed his desire to join the Eagles, despite interest from the Western Bulldogs.
The out-of-contract player hasn't received a new deal from the reigning premiers, and the club won't stand in his way in search of more AFL opportunities.
Deven Robertson will be delisted by Brisbane, which will open the door for him to get to West Coast as a delisted free agent or even as a rookie, given the Eagles have those four extra rookie spots this year. Either way he will land at the Eagles. @TradeRadio @AFLcomau

A trade for Robertson looks dead in the water, meaning he'll have to wait until after the 2025 Trade and Free Agency period completes on Wednesday, October 15, before he can officially join West Coast as a delisted free agent or a rookie.
He attempted to get to West Coast at the end of 2023, but remained at the Lions following their grand final loss. Since, Robertson has been stuck behind the Ashcroft brothers, as well as Jaspa Fletcher and the strong midfield group.
"He's been a great contributor for our footy club, he's been a tough competitor. He's just been stuck in a situation where he's been behind a few other players," Brisbane list boss Dom Ambrogio told AFL Trade Radio.
"We'll hold him through the trade period and see what comes off this, but he's been pretty clear that he'd like to get over to West Coast and there's been some ongoing interest there over the years.
"I'm sure when we get to the end of the trade period, he'll find his way one way or the other there."
The Eagles will have four additional rookie spots to work through following the AFL's assistance package that was handed to them late last month.
Tom Berry, Finlay Macrae and Harry Schoenberg have also been contacted by the club after they were delisted from Gold Coast, Collingwood and Adelaide.
West Coast have welcomed Brandon Starcevich, but has farewelled Oscar Allen (Brisbane), Liam Ryan (St Kilda) and Campbell Chesser (Carlton).
The Eagles currently hold Picks 1, 2, 13, 34, 38, 41, 53 and 58 in the 2025 National Draft.
The club has spoken openly about the possibility of trading back one of its top selections if the deal is right.
