Hawthorn will wear a special pink Guernsey in the club's annual Pink Ribbon Game in conjunction with Cancer Council Tasmania.

“It has been a great relationship between Hawthorn Football Club and Cancer Council Tasmania, not only for the continued support, but the awareness that’s being raised about cancer in the community," Cancer Council Tasmania CEO, Penny Egan said.

“You can never stop raising awareness about cancer. Eight Tasmanian a day are diagnosed, but the impact of that cancer diagnosis affects many more people. So to work with Hawthorn Football Club to keep raising that awareness is a great outcome."

The club will carry the pink theme throughout the day, with beanies, scarves and a throw all for sale at the ground, with 10 per cent of all proceeds going to Cancer Council Tasmania.

The Guernsey will be worn in Round 14 against the Gold Coast Suns.
