Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir has complete faith in superstar Luke Jackson to "prepare really well" away from the club in the lead-up to Sunday's do-or-die clash against the Western Bulldogs.
Jackson will spend this week in Victoria as he deals with personal circumstances, and has been entrusted to continue his workload remotely.
Longmuir says the unicorn has carried on his training program, consistently checking in with coaches. But he admitted that his absence would affect the club's preparation.
"Probably does a little bit," Longmuir conceded.
"I'm confident that we'll be able to work our way around it, and confident that he can still prepare really well.
"He's been in contact with the coaches. He's watched our reviews. Sometimes personal circumstances override the team preference.
"Come Sunday, it won't be an issue at all."
The club is set to join him in Melbourne on Friday.
The Dockers find themselves in familiar territory in the final round of the home and away season, relying on results to go their way to feature in September.
The winner between Fremantle and the Bulldogs will secure a spot in the finals.
"We've been in these situations before," Longmuir said.
"The pressure is on them as well, isn't it? The last time I checked, they had won one less game than us, so the narrative around some of this stuff gets me a little bit.
"Everyone's talking like we are going to miss the finals, but I've got full faith in this group to go over there and get it done."
Longmuir is weighing up whether to bring in midfielder Hayden Young despite his wretched run with injuries in 2025.
Young has played seven games this year as hamstring and groin problems have hindered his campaign.
The classy left-footer, along with emerging midfielder Matthew Johnson, will be put through their paces ahead of Sunday's match.
"They (Young and Johnson) completed a game simulation session on the weekend," Fremantle High Performance Manager Phil Merriman said.
"Both are looking really good and need to get through training on Wednesday to be available for selection this weekend."
Brandon Walker and Cooper Simpson have both impressed in recent weeks during their time in the WAFL.
