Former Brisbane captain Dayne Beams will return to the club he won a premiership with in 2010, after the Lions agreed a trade with Collingwood.

The Lions have landed two first round picks and pick 56 for the 28-year-old, while Collingwood have received Beams, pick 41 and 44 in return.

Beams spent the first six years of his career at Collingwood, and played every game in their 2010 premiership success.

He moved to the Lions at the end of the 2014 season, and has since played 58 games for Brisbane.

Beams has averaged 25.6 disposals, 4.6 marks, 3.9 inside 50s and 4.6 clearances across his 168-game career.
