Delisted Collingwood youngster Finlay Macrae is set for a meeting with West Coast to extend his AFL career.

Macrae was farewelled by the Pies after five seasons and 21 games. He was taken with Pick 19 in the 2020 National Draft.

The 23-year-old flirted with a move two years ago before recommitting at the AIA Centre.

The Eagles' interest comes as the club welcomed an additional four rookie list spots as well as Pick 19 (now 21) from the AFL as part of their assistance package.

The Western Australian side is looking to add much-needed experience to its list after a fourth straight bottom-three finish, which has included two wooden spoons.

St Kilda's Jack Steele also poses as an intriguing prospect, given the Saints informed him to explore his options regarding more permanent midfield time.

Steele's leadership would be invaluable to the Eagles, whilst also adding further power to the engine room, assisting youngsters Harley Reid, Elijah Hewett and Jack Hutchinson.
