Contract negotiations between Adelaide and young gun Brad Crouch have reportedly stalled.

Damien Barrett reported on The Footy Show on Thursday night that the highly rated 22-year-old's career at the club has hit a roadblock, with Crouch only managing four of eight games this season.

He was also omitted from this week's team to face the Suns, along with younger brother Matt.

His omission has coincided with the reports that the player and club are some way away on reaching an agreement on a new deal.

The Victorian has played 29 career games with the Crows since making since debut in 2013.
