The 2022 AFLW season is set to kick off on January 7 after being pushed back from its usual December start date due to COVID uncertainty.

With the same 14 teams as 2021 before the competition expands next season and record membership numbers, the ten-round competition is set to be one of the biggest yet.

Brisbane enter the 2022 season as the reigning premiers looking to go back-to-back, but will face fierce competition from the rest of the league.
