Geelong winger Ollie Dempsey has kicked the first goal of the 2025 AFL Grand Final.
The Cats were able to force a front half turnover after a Sam De Koning shot, with Dempsey ripping forward and holding his width as the fat side winger to get a shot from the goal square.
It took 15 minutes with both teams having momentum and periods of repeat inside 50s in a highly contested opening to the game, with the first five scores of the game behinds.
