What move does YOUR club need to make in the off-season?

With the AFL deep into its most unprecedented year yet, some players will undoubtedly be re-evaluating where they want to play in 2021. A number of clubs will already be planning their moves for the off-season and identifying targets from rival clubs. Here is a list of what every club must do in the off-season. Trading some of their senior players for picks would probably be the wisest move for the club, with players like Bryce Gibbs as well as the Crouch brothers looking likely to be heading for the door. Securing some decent young talent for the future would be a good first step in rebuilding a broken club. (Photo by Chris Hyde/Getty Images)[/caption] It has been widely reported that GWS midfielder Zac Williams would be looking for a move at the end of the season as a restricted free agent. Carlton need an explosive player to help their relatively young midfield, and Williams could fit that exact bill. David King told Fox Sports last week that the it would be a bad move for the Blues not to go "all in" on the GWS midfielder, and that their talls could potentially be used as trading material should it come to that. It seems that they can't get a break with injuries, and with a forward-line which struggles without its stars, a move for North Melbourne's Ben Brown could be on the cards. Despite having a woeful 2020, the 27-year-old Tasmanian could be looking for a fresh start, where he has the potential to become the focal point of the Collingwood forward-line. Jake Niall from The Age reported on Tuesday that the Bombers were in for Tigers premiership player Jack Graham. With whispers he could be moving back to South Australia, it is reported that Graham's relationship with ex-Richmond staff at the Bombers in the form of Blake Caracella and Dan Richardson could prompt the 22-year-old to pick Essendon as his preferred destination. However where they are lacking is their forward-line, with the Perth outfit needing a secondary tall to support Matt Taberner. GWS' Harry Himmelberg could be the answer, with the Dockers being able to possibly trade a pick for the Wagga Wagga-born 24-year-old. Kane Cornes on Channel 9's Footy Classified said that Cameron would be "perfect" for the Geelong forward-line. (Photo by James Elsby/AFL Photos/Getty Images)[/caption] With the Crows needing a clean-out, a lot of senior players will be up for grabs this trade period. 21-year-old young Sun Will Brodie is being circled by multiple clubs, so a deal for experienced midfielder Rory Laird could be good for the Suns. Laird's performances have picked up recently and could be a good asset for Gold Coast. (Photo by Quinn Rooney/Getty Images)[/caption] With Shane Mumford on the way out, there will be a void left in the Giant's rucking department that will need to be filled one way or another. Melbourne's number two ruckman Braydon Preuss may want a move away at the end of the season, after not getting enough game-time as desired at the Dees. And with Sam Jacobs past his best, the ex-North Melbourne man would probably be first preference for Leon Cameron. Ex-Tigers coach Terry Wallace told SEN that there is potential for the ex-Port man to go to a fourth club this off-season. "My gut feeling is I think Jared Polec will be playing at a fourth AFL club next year." With Polec likely to stay in Victoria, Hawthorn could be a potential destination for the pacey midfielder. However, there would be no harm in the Demons making a move for the Victorian man. With the Hawks being well off the pace this year, the prospect of Smith making a switch to the Demons could be one to watch come the off-season. (Photo by Will Russell/AFL Media/Getty Images)[/caption] According to Tom Browne on Triple M, the Roos are eyeing off Giants duo Zac Williams and Aidan Corr. However, if Carlton snatch Williams, the Roos should still pull the trigger on Corr. The 26-year-old has had a solid year for the Giants and could prove a valuable asset for the Kangaroo's defence. (Photo by Paul Kane/Getty Images)[/caption] Jon Ralph said to Fox Sports last week that Port Adelaide have a "war chest" to take into this season's trade period. As such, they will be looking to pick up some quality, and with GWS reportedly willing to offload some senior players, Harry Perryman could be on a number of club's lists. The 21-year-old would complement Port's game plan and be clinical with his ball use off half-back. (Photo by Michael Dodge/Getty Images)[/caption] At the start of the season, there was word on the street that Darcy Moore could potentially be a target for Richmond as a result of Alex Rance's retirement. However, Collingwood president Eddie McGuire was quick to quash those rumours. With Bachar Houli being out of contract at the end of this season and Damien Hardwick reportedly striking up a rapport with Moore during the State of Origin match earlier this year, something may still yet be in the pipeline. The 19-year-old is reportedly trying to be coaxed back to Victoria, with Leon Cameron keen to keep him close to the Harbour. The Saints have exceeded expectations this year, and could roll nicely into next season too by adding this exciting prospect to their mix. (Photo by Michael Willson/AFL Photos)[/caption] The Swans couldn't get their man last year after a deal with the Bombers broke down, meaning Daniher stayed at The Hanger for 2020. However after missing a year of football, Daniher is tipped to return to the field in the next week or two. Looking to the draft would be wise for the Eagles, with someone ideally to replace Shannon Hurn when he is past his best. While the Eagles are set for another play at the premiership, an investment into some youth could keep their window open for a few more seasons. With the 24-year-old out of contract at the end of the season, the Dogs might just go for him in order to lower the average age of their squad and to complement young stars in the form of Bailey Smith and Aaron Naughton.
