Brisbane coach Chris Fagan has declared the Lions have "found one" in young forward Logan Morris, who has booted 10 goals in two games in spearheading the Queensland club's attack.
Taken at Pick 31 in the 2023 AFL Draft, Morris is quickly emerging as a draft bargain for the Lions, with five key forwards taken before him in the count.
In just his second season in the AFL, Morris has already reached the 30-goal mark, doing so in just 14 games.
His bright campaign follows a premiership-winning season under Fagan that saw the 20-year-old boot 24 goals for the year, including two in the grand final win over Sydney.
With Brisbane since losing their reigning leading goalkicker in Joe Danher, Morris has stood tall in his absence alongside Eric Hipwood, with draftee Ty Gallop also getting a showing at senior level.
Morris enjoyed arguably the best performance of his career last week, despite the loss to GWS, as he kicked five goals against All-Australian defender Sam Taylor.
Looking to back up that performance on Friday against Geelong, Morris was again damaging in Fagan's front half, booting another five goals after his career-best outing the week prior to cause an upset win at Kardinia Park.
"I love the fact he was able to back up a great performance," Fagan said of the Werribee Districts product.
"Often you see with young players, they kick five and then all of [the media] want to interview them and put them on a pedestal.
"I said to him during the week, 'Mate, you've had a bit of attention this week, you reckon you'll get a kick this week?'
"I think that was the secret. I said that to him and he wanted to prove me wrong.
"He's a good level-headed young fella, an exciting footballer, 20 years of age and being able to do that sort of work on the field.
"It's exciting for Brisbane supporters. We've found one. Losing Joey last year was a bit of a blow, but Logan is stepping up.
"Young Ty Gallop is going to be a good player. We haven't seen much of him yet, but I think he has a bright future."
Fagan was also pleased with young forward Kai Lohmann's return to form in the win over Geelong, with the small forward kicking two goals and amassing seven score involvements for the night.
He had only conjured multiple goals just once this year prior to his outing against the Cats, with injury and form keeping him goalless in seven of his 10 games in 2025.
Speaking on the livewire forward, Fagan said Lohmann looked to have returned to form after being used as the sub the week prior.
"Kai Lohmann was good tonight," the Lions coach said. "He sort of found some form.
"I made him the sub last week to liven him up. He didn't play great last week when he came on last week, but maybe it was the thing he needed to take his mind off trying to be the great player he was last year and just focus on the basics.
"I thought tonight he was terrific and was really pleased for him.
"He was moving around and putting some pressure on, looking dangerous. Hiopefully he gets a little bit of confidence from thatm because he's a damn good player."
The win on the road for Brisbane sees them sit in second on the ladder with 10 wins, four losses and one draw after 15 games.
The Lions are scheduled for a bye in Round 16 before a meeting with Port Adelaide a week later at the Gabba.
