Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge has confirmed that midfielder Adam Treloar will line up on Thursday against Hawthorn.

Treloar has played only one match in 2025, facing multiple soft-tissue problems that have plagued his year to date, but has overcome the latest leg setback to take on the Hawks.

Beveridge alluded to a cautious approach with the 32-year-old who's dealt with injuries in the past, but is excited for what the veteran will provide the team on Thursday.

"Adam is a different proposition for us now," Beveridge said.

"We believe he won't always have continuity, game after game. He might not play three or four games in a row.

"We, by design, are managing him, to make sure he needs a rest from what he's telling us.

"We're hoping he's got a future beyond this year, and it'll take care of itself.

"He's such an influential player, and an esteemed player over a long period of time that by and large, he's going to be in our best 23, so we'll pick him when he's feeling fit and healthy."

In more positive news, key forward Sam Darcy is another week away from returning to the senior side after overcoming an early-season knee injury.

Beveridge also spoke on forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan's return prospects following his latest social media post.

Ugle-Hagan took toย Instagramย to signal his intent to come back to the AFL, posting his training regime.

The former Pick 1 took indefinite leave from the club in April after it was revealed he was dealing with personal matters.

Beveridge is taking said Ugle-Hagan's progression as a "positive" sign towards returning for the Bulldogs.

"We've got to keep an open mind about his prosperity and his future," Beveridge said.

"I'm taking that as a positive โ€ฆ with the new challenges and the commitment to going away and focusing on his own wellbeing and his life journey.

"Hopefully, he's got some things in a bit more of an order, and that can propel him into his footy yet at some point. When that is, who knows, it might still be a fair way away."
