West Coast has already made an improvement on last year in terms of wins, but veteran WA sports journalist Digby Beacham believes you could put the Eagles down for five or six victories.
The Eagles have notched up two wins over North Melbourne and Port Adelaide, which were bookended by heavy losses to grand final aspirants Gold Coast and Sydney.
The Swans clash pulled the proud Western Australian club back to earth following a 128-point thrashing, but Beacham, speaking on The Outer Wing podcast, remained buoyant about West Coast claiming a few more scalps.
"We said earlier this year the line was 3.5 (wins), and we said overs," Beacham said.
"So, with two in the bank already, I'm comfortable with that. I still think they can win their five or six (games). They're going to win some games at home.
"When they play like-minded opposition, on talent levels, I think that they can win. I suggest that this game, that Geelong is beyond them.
"But I think at home, I think they'll trouble some sides.
"Put them down for five or six (wins)."
Winnable games on the AFL fixture for West Coast will come in against Richmond (Round 8 at Optus Stadium), while a four-game stretch between Round 12 and 16 will see clashes against Essendon (home), Port Adelaide (home), North Melbourne (away at Optus Stadium) and Carlton, with a bye following the Kangaroos match-up.
They'll get another crack at the Tigers on the MCG in Round 21, which will no doubt be circled as a potential win.
