One man might be rethinking his actions from Thursday night's Collingwood-Geelong match at Optus Stadium in Perth.
With two minutes left in the game, a man from the crowd stormed onto the ground before being tackled and stopped by the Optus Stadium security, where he was then evicted from the stadium.
The pitch invader, who payed for a $30 general admission ticket, is now facing a $50,000 fine and a 14-day quarantine period for his actions.
The punishment for a pitch invasion was increased to $50,000 and potential jail time because of the strict rulings around social distancing, especially from the players who are technically under a 14-day quarantine period themselves.
The security guards were all wearing masks and gloves during the eviction.
Thursday night's game saw more than 22,000 people back allowed into a sports stadium for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic begun.
