A fifth club has entered the Travis Boak sweepstakes, with the Carlton Blues keen to acquire his talents in an off-field role.

Carlton join the Western Bulldogs, Collingwood, Sydney and GWS as teams showing interest in Boak's knowledge and specialities in an off-field capacity, according to AFL Media's Josh Gabelich.

The Giants and Swans were the first pair of clubs to pitch positions to Boak, discussing potential assistant and development coaching positions, as well as exploring leadership and culture roles. Collingwood reportedly followed suit shortly after and the Bulldogs reportedly met with the 37-year-old last week.

Carlton have since discussed football department roles with the 387-game Power legend, which could potentially see Boak join former Port Adelaide footy boss Chris Davies at Ikon Park.

It is unclear at this stage what role Carlton have suggested to Boak, however.

Boak said following his final game he'd like to return to sporting circles in some capacity, whether that's in a performance-coaching space or in the areas of corporate and business.
