Off-contract Collingwood forward has reportedly gained the interest of Melbourne, who are believed to have "a really strong proposal" made for the veteran sharpshooter.
Mihocek is expected to hold off a call on his future with the Magpies until after their finals run comes to an end, with the mature-aged recruit still weighing up his options.
Collingwood have come to the table with a new multi-year deal that would likely see the 32-year-old end his career in the black and white, however the Demons too are making their case.
According to 7 News reporter Mitch Cleary, Melbourne are pursuing the five-time Magpies leading goalkicker "in a big way".
"The Demons have come for Brody Mihocek in a big way," Cleary told The Agenda Setters.
"The Pies feel they've had a really strong offer on the table for some time. He's parked (talks) until the end of the season.
"He turns 33 in February, and I believe he's weighing up a really strong proposal to join the Melbourne footy club.

"They had a go at Daniher at the start of the year, clearly that won't be happening, but Melbourne is in the market for an experienced key forward, and they've identified this man."
Melbourne's interest in Mihocek comes as new coach Steven King steps into his role and plans to build the club's list for 2026 and beyond.
Speaking on Monday, the departing Cats assistant stressed the need to retain the club's experienced assets.
"The experience we've got here... we want to keep those experienced players, because premiership players don't grow on trees," King said.

"To have them on your side while you're bringing in the youth of tomorrow, that's going to be a really important part of the way I want our team to play.
"I'll look at what the possibilities are (for recruitment), but I'm sure there's been an enormous amount of work that has gone into that space in the months leading up to today."
The Demons have struggled with their key forward stocks in recent years, with Harrison Petty their top goalkicker among their talls with 20 this year.
Mihocek is a free agent at Collingwood, meaning he could walk to the Demons with no restriction from the Magpies.
